I’ll also point out that, she could’ve released it back then and would’ve got so much attention and clout for it, since their relationship was so talked about and Joe was a huge deal back then…but she didn’t. And it feels like the song couldn’t have been released at a time more perfect than now! With her having accomplished so much since then, Joe’s marriage with Sophie and the friendly terms they are now on , both of them have indeed come a long way. The song that might’ve been viewed as just another shady song by the media and Joe’s fans back then, is now a beautiful time travelling experience through young Taylor’s emotions.
