油菜在结菜籽之前，是好看的油菜花，每年三四月，云南随处可见成片的油菜花海，到了五月，菜籽成熟，可以榨成金黄浓郁的食用油，用来油炸或炒菜，香味浓烈，为食物增色添彩。这次用菜籽油做了几道家人们爱吃的料理，家人围坐，寻常味道，却是幸福开心的一餐，希望你们在生活中，也能找到让自己开心和幸福的事情～

Before producing rapeseeds, rape is a beautiful flower. Every March and April, large areas of rape flower fields can be seen everywhere in Yunnan. In May, when rapeseeds get ripe, golden edible oil with rich aroma can be extracted from them. People use rapeseed oil to fry meat or vegetables. Its rich aroma adds flavor to food. Hello Penjie, we use sunflower seed oil most of the time but we use lard too. Some people say it isn’t healthy and makes you fat but in the good old times there was no oil just lard and everyone was healthy so yeah, lard is good too. Nowadays there are a wide variety of oils but most of them are very expensive (like olive oil, corn oil, pumpkin seed oil, grape seed oil, etc. – the healthier the more expensive) and we can’t afford that so if we can we buy the cheapest one and try not to use a lot just as much is needed for a dish or soup.

Here in England, the meals you cook are considered a “banquet” as we eat very simple meals, usually of only one course and do not go to such lengths to make them. I was taught to cook by my mother, and we had lessons in school to learn, but that was a long time ago. The young people today do not want to learn these things. They would rather go to a shop and buy ready prepared food, instead of preparing the ingredients fresh. I like to learn how to cook different foods so I really enjoy watching your channel.
